If you want anything in life, you will have to work for it. Nothing comes easy. But do you know what? That is a fantastic realisation to come to because that means we are all born with the same odds, it is just a matter of who “wants” it the most.
This, of course, is not the entire truth, but almost. If you are 1.50m tall, it probably doesn´t matter how much you “WANT” to become a good basketball player, you probably never will.
If we rule out the odd ones where other genetic factors, such as height, plays a factor, there is not a single thing more important than consistency, persistence, and perseverance.
If you want it enough, you will get it.
If you can keep going at it after being turned down time and time again, you will get it.
If you do not see failure as defeat, but as unique learning opportunities to fine-tune your craft or skill, and get right back at it with renewed tenacity, you will get what you want.
“Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence. “
– Colin Powell
Nothing comes easy and nothing comes overnight. Everything requires focused training and effort over a consistent long period in which you get better, fitter, faster, sharper, build your audience, hone your craft or build your reputation. Realise this, decide on what it is that you want and spend every single day working focused towards it.
Have a good day.
